Click hereto check Pete Townshend’s “Slit Skirts”…I guess it was ineveitable that “Empty Glass” will always overshadow “Chinese Eyes”…probably because the tunes are more Who-friendly. Not sure…anyways this tune kills. Love the Townshend look metamorphosis. New wave Pete was definitely cool on the Who’s “It’s Hard” tour. I was very fortunate to have seen that tour with opening acts T-Bone Burnette, and The Clash. Great concert.

Interesting power pop rock collaboration for a band: Tyler Hanson (from boy band Hanson), Bun E Carlos (of course Cheap Trick), James Iha (Smashing Pumpkins, and Adam Schlesinger (Fountains of Wayne)…listen to all of it so you hear the tune “Kind of a Girl”…sounds like a Fountains of Wayne tune.
