Delaney and Bonnie “Groupie (Superstar)”…The Original Song That The Carpenters’ Had a Hit With Later.

Click here to go to AD to check Delaney & Bonnie’s “Groupie (Superstar)”….this is the original version of the Leon Russell tune.  It was a big hit for the Carpenters in the 70’s.  Not sure why the Carpenters chose to cut the “Groupie” out of the title…Haaaaaaaa! 

Killer version…check the D&B cut.  Not sure if Eric Clapton actually played on this cut?  Anyone out there know for sure?  Nice post by AD.
